Psychoactives Wiki

Many of the Herbs on this site are rated according to this scale.

  • Mild - A very mild herb, some will feel noticeable effects.
  • Mildly Effective - People familiar with herbs and the methods of smoking them (priming) will feel this herb.
  • Effective - These herbs are very often noticed by most people with a little priming and proper smoking technique. However, they lack the ability to be very potent in high doses, or is rarely, if ever used in doses high enough to be considered potent.
  • Potent - These herbs are strong, almost anybody will be able to to feel them when taken correctly. These herbs can produce a state that is at least comparable to cannabis intoxication (but not always equivalent or similiar).
  • Psychedelic - These herbs produce out of body experiences and extreme states, beyond what most would call a "high". Usually reserved to extremely high doses. If a plant is labeled psychedelic sometimes it simply means that at higher doses it has the ability to produce psychedelic effects.

Sedatives vs. Relaxants[]

Some herbs are strongly relaxing but would not be considered "psychedelic", or potent in the sense that they don't get you "high". These herbs are separated into relaxants and sedatives.

  • Relaxants - A relaxing herb. There is usually little or no impairment of functioning.
  • Sedatives - A stronger sedation. Sedatives impair motor skills and thought processes more than relaxants.
